This won't be judged. It's just for fun. :)
Use the 12-sided virtual die at one of these two sites:
http://hamete.org/dserver/diceshttp://www.bgfl.org/bgfl/custom/resources_ftp/client_ftp/ks1/maths/dice/(The second one won't work if you're using Safari.)
For each child, roll the die twice; once for the first name, and once for the middle name. Use the naming rules that correspond with the numbers you rolled. You can use multiple middle names for some or all of the children if you want, but you have to roll the die again for each additional middle name.
If you roll...
1... use a name that you love.
2... a name that you hate.
3... a name that is not in the top 1000 list for any country or decade (use the search on the "Most Popular Names" page).
4... a name that is not in the database.
5... a name that begins with the same letter as the last name.
6... a name that is unisex according to the BtN database.
7... an unusual spelling of a popular name.
8... a guilty pleasure name, or a name that you like but most people don't.
9... a name usually used as a nickname.
10... an "old man" or "old lady" name.
11... a name usually associated with a specific person or character (e.g. Paris, Kermit).
12... a name often used for pets.
Let me know if you have any questions. Have fun. :)
