See, that's so odd to me. I hear that about it a lot, but I just don't hear it! It must be a regional thing, because where I live it's only ever prounounced like Bee-ahn-kah.

I say bee-AHNK-kah as well. I guess my phonetic spelling is lousy. I'll fix it!

No - the 'K' sound isn't in the same syllable as the 'ahn' sound. It's kind of like Bee-on-kah.
