[Opinions] Re: Boy on Girl Nicknames?

There are a lot of girl names with boyish NN is this post: http://www.behindthename.com/bb/arcview.php?id=602283&board=baby
Personally, I dislike boy names on girls and vice versa, but I think it's OK to have a boyish NN for a girly name if that's what the child wants. I think all NN should happen naturally, and if your little tomboy Johanna wants to by called Johnny, why stop her?
What are the convulsions of a city in comparison with the insurrections of the soul?
Man is a depth still greater than the people.
