[Facts] Re: Revelin?

Revelin seems to be one of several Anglicized spellings of the ancient Irish name Roibhilin. I can't find that in my reference books, but I did find a website that quoted the ancient Annals of Ulster saying that in Omeath the name was "equated" with Roland. What that probably means is that men who were called Roibhilin or Revelin in Irish had that "translated" into Roland by their English overlords, in the same way that Conchobhar was "translated" into Cornelius or Gobnait became Abigail, but there was no etymological connection between the names. The most reliable sources seem to state that the original meaning of Roibhilin is unknown.
