I still like Cindy, although because of my age I went to school with an awful lot of them. So to me it seems ultra-common. Now, though, a Cindy would stand out, I suppose.
Knew a Cinda once, which I thought was very nice.
Just to throw this in, I also once knew a Cynthia who went by Cynthy. I thought it was a little cutesy, but maybe that's just me.

In theory, I like the idea of Cynthie, but in practice, I find it difficult in the extreme to say, hehe.
