Please leave Aubrey for parents of boys. It might remind you of auburn hair which sounds feminine, but I can assure you that this name has a long history as a boy's name. I dates back to the middle ages.
I know BtN lists this as both masculine and feminine, but it comes from Alberic -- very masculine. There are so many gorgeous names for girls, I hate to see the shrinking pool of boy names get any smaller.

Well...
I won't even tell you what my daughter is named! You'd really freak out! I would never torture my poor son by naming him Aubrey, and I think its adorable on a girl (as is my daughter's name).
