I like this name, but is it ok to use as a first name?

Ginny's a cute nn, that oddly enough doesn't go into the dreaded "cutesy" category imo.
But I definitely see it as only a nn, sorry. It's too insubstantial for me as a full name.
Besides, full names usually offer the kid more choices should she/he not like her/his "designated" nn.

Of course it would b terrific as a fn - as long as it's a nn for something.
I'd want the option of a more formal name if I were her and entering the work force/professional world. She doesn't have to use it, but it's nice that it's there just in case.
