[Opinions] 1980 babies
These are the names of most of the kids who were in the same year as me at primary school over the years 1985-1992. Most if not all were born in 1980.
WDYT? What would you use now? Any surprises?

Even though some of them are dated now, I like quite a few of these names:
Adam
Adrian
David
Jeffrey
Luke
Matthew
Nathan
Quentin
Rhys
Steven (though I prefer Stephen)
Timothy
Tristan
Vaughan
&
Anna
Brooke
Callie
Carrie
Elizabeth
Erin
Katherine
Michelle
Rebecca
Tiffany
Niels-Peter jumped out at me, definitely not one I've seen before (not a big Nordic community where I am). I've also never seen Roneil or Skigh (neither are in the databse, either).
Denva... I'm hoping that's an ethnic name with which I'm unfamiliar, and not the British English pronunciation of Denver.

Roneil is an Indian name. Skigh I think is just a hippie spelling of Sky, and I have a hunch he changed it as an adult.
This was in Western Australia not Britain but yeah, the WA accent is non-rhotic, so -er words are pronounced the same as -a words. Tuner and tuna are pronounced exactly the same for example. Denva = Denver.

What would you use now?
Harold, Luke, Timothy
Elizabeth, Rowena, Tiffany
Also comparatively likable:
Benjamin, Justin, Philip, Quentin, Rhys, Samuel, Tristan, Amanda, Anita, Anna, Janine, Katherine, Melissa, Christine, Rebecca, Sarah
I used to like Adam, Daniel, Nathan, Michelle, Shannon, Sharon more than I do right now.
Denva, Rowena, Roneil, and Niels-Peter seem the most out of the ordinary to me. Marnie looks old-fashioned to me.

Harold, Quentin, and Rowena are great!
Interesting: this was in Australia, right? I'd use or consider using: Adrian, Benjamin*, Daniel*, David*, Dylan, Peter (not Niels-Peter!), Stephen (not Steven), Alison, Elizabeth*, and I imagine Callie and Carrie are both nns for Caroline. In which case I'd use Caroline! In fact, I did name a daughter Caroline, and a son Peter David. * for family name
