Help[Opinions] Uriah and Uriel
This is the name of my friend's nephew. It suddenly started charting about five years ago, jumping to the 500s before dropping to the 900s.
I don't get the appeal at all. All I can see is urine. I checked on Uriel, that's been charting since 1985.
Any ideas on why Uriah started charting so quickly, only to drop just as dramatically?
I know unusual initials are popular - Xavier, Quinton, Zander - but I can't find anything pleasant about either name.

Many biblical names underwent a revival, like Ephraim, Gideon or Phoebe. Uriah too, plus, it starts with a unusual initial.
Uriel, besides starting with U, is the name of an archangel. It's also not uncommon among Hispanics.
I like both, they're timeless and handsome.

I think they're cute. I like 'yoo-' names and they remind me of Yuri.

I don't get the appeal either. I can't find any U names I really like.
No idea on the rise and fall. I don't like any names starting with U. Both names mean the same, Hebrew names
I like Uriel, but pronounced with an oo instead of a yoo. I also like the variant Orel- which also means "eagle" in my langauge. I prefer Uriel over Uriah. Both of their listed pronounciations remind me of Yuriy.
And also, U and Z as unusual initials? Are they really in the English speaking world? There's so many Z names in my country, and while there's not many U names, there is a popular one. I could see U being unusually but really Z?

The only popular z names I can think of are Zachary and Zoe. Zara, Zelda, Zane - those are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head that i've heard.
