I wouldn't use it for a boy. I'm not a fan of gender neutral names, and it's too questionable. Also rather close to Audrey.

No, at least not in the U.S. I work in schools and have never seen it on a boy, but have seen many girls named Aubrey, Aubree, Aubri, Aubriana, Aubrielle, etc.

No. I think it sounds like a passé name for a girl, or an exceptionally pretentious name for a boy.

I have met a man named Aubrey. He was in his late 20s, so he was born before it really blew up for girls. When first introduced, I met him with his girlfriend, who goes by a unisex name, so it took a minute to realize who was who.

Audrey has been used a lot longer for girls. I think people are less likely to assume an Aubrey is a girl than Audrey if the person was born before 2000.

I think so. The pop star Drake's legal first name is Aubrey, and he's not that old yet.

Definitely. I like it best as a masculine name, like Madison, Logan or Palmer, which is trying to make a comeback for boys.

Yes, it's still used a boy name in the Bahamas. I know one. I don't particularly like the name, but I think it's better on a boy than a girl.

In the US, it was never popular on boys and was always more popular (once it started getting used) for girls, so I would say that here it is not a unisex name. The fact that it sounds very much like Audrey is also worth considering.

Yes, I can see it being used for both genders. A matter of preference, I like it on men more but that doesn't mean it cannot be a woman.

Where I live, I've never seen or heard of a girl Aubrey, and I really hope it lasts. I like it as a boy name, and heartily dislike Audrey as a girl name; not sure why.
