[Opinions] Iris
The other day I came across someone with the name Iris Olympia and found the combo absolutely gorgeous. Iris has been on my mind quite a bit lately (especially since I recently learned it was almost my middle name) and I've really started to appreciate it. What do y'all think of Iris Olympia? And, if you were to use Iris, what would you pair it with?

Iris has definitely grown on me these days. I've always liked the etymology but was never a big fan of the actual sound itself. Iris by The Goo Goo Dolls is also a great association. Iris Olympia is gorgeous and if I were to use Iris - I would probably use exactly that :)
Iris is beautiful and I would consider using it. Iris Olympia is lovely, very Greek mythology, which is a plus for me.My top combo is probably Iris Adelaide.
I love Iris, I think it's very elegant, the flowers are very pretty (and famously my mum's favourite, to the point I always thought if I'd had kids I -miiiight- have been able to stretch it to an honouring name because even though it's no relation to her name, it's one of her favourite things so she'd be part of the 'name story'. Yeah, I said it's a stretch). I like that it's also the name of a (minor) goddess and the association with rainbows too, too cute. Iris Olympia is pretty if a bit overly mythological. Olympia is just cool. Iris is elegant. Just nice.Iris could also go with...Iris Allegra
Iris Cordelia
Iris Demetria
Iris Fiammetta
Iris Genevieve
Iris Gwendolen
Iris Juliana
Iris Leonie
Iris Lucille
Iris Ludovica
Iris Marguerite
Iris Meredith
Iris Ottoline
Iris Pandora
Iris Vivienne
Iris Wilhelmina

Iris Olympia looks beautiful on the page but the "s" runs into the "O" so when you say it out loud it sounds like one long name Irisolympia. Certain first names sound best with middle names beginning with a consonant.Iris Colette
Iris Theodora
Iris Juliet
Iris Catherine
Iris Matilda
Iris Bernadette
Iris Genevieve
Iris Gwendolyn
Iris Virginia
Iris Josephine
Iris Calliope
Iris Philippa
Iris Veronica
Iris Victoria
Iris Seraphine
Iris has always been one of my favourite names. It's not overly popular and not unheard of, short and sweet, uncommon initial, the meaning, the Greek goddess, the flower, the 90s song. I like everything about it.The combo is elegant and dignified. As for myself, I'd use:Iris Aurora
Iris Beatrix
Iris Emilia
Iris Genevieve
Iris Lydia
Iris Margot
Iris Octavia
Iris Pandora
Iris Stella
Iris Vivienne**favourite combo

Very Greek mythology! I like the combo.A couple of names I like with Iris are:
Iris Delilah
Iris Elise
Just generally any name with a floaty ending.
I adore Iris Olympia. My go-to Iris combo is Iris Ariadne.
Iris is OK, but I mostly avoid flower names for being too sugar-sweet and sentimental. But the iris is a dignified flower! I would never use Olympia or expect to see anyone else use it. As a mn, I suppose anything goes.
Iris Penelope
Iris Emily
Iris Margaretta
Iris Jane
I don't like either name
I think Iris Olympia is very pretty.i might use...Iris Lillian
Iris Maeve
Iris Renee
Iris Elaine
