[Opinions] Cooper
I hate this name. What do you think of it? Hmm. Your ideas are intriguing to me, and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter.

I don't really like it, it feels like a dog name to me.
Not a fan
I like it. It doesn't really stand out in any way, but I've never met a person with the name. I like it better than some surnames as first names (like Baxter, Hinton, Ainsley, Paisley, Hadley, etc.) but there are many that I prefer to Cooper (like Dax, Houston, Foster, Hunter, Clinton, etc.).
I used to babysit one (he had brothers Harper & Walker). It doesn’t bother me except that it brings to mind chicken coops. When I was younger I liked it because of Gary Cooper. I can kind of see the appeal that it has for some parents, kind of cowboy-ish.
Not a fan, but I'm not a big fan of the 'trades as names' genre ... like Tyler, Taylor, Mason, Carter, Sawyer, etc.
I know a boy with this name. He was named after his dad’s favourite football (soccer) player. Because I associate it with a particular child I don’t mind it but nor do I see the appeal.
Don't like it at all
It's less that I hate it and more that I don't understand its appeal. I think of chicken coops and barrels. I don't like Harper, Sawyer, Carter, Beryl, but at least I understand their appeal. But one time I looked back at my oldest BtN posts from when I was a teenager, and it was on my (longish) favs list. I couldn't believe it. My best guess is that I was influenced by liking Tamora Pierce characters with the surname Cooper.

I don’t like it. I can’t picture it on anyone over the age of 12.
I hate it too.
I also hate it. A very normal woman who works at the research center with me has twin sons named Colby and Cooper...
I really like Colby.
I hate it too. I thought it was cute when I was 16, but turns out it's actually insufferable. I don't even like it on a dog. Also, it rhymes with pooper. Important fact.
Fine as a surname; as a lnfn it's no better or worse than the rest.
