[Opinions] Demetrius
Demetrius is the name of the day. Thoughts? I like it but I’m not sure how usable it is.

While it isn’t my thing, it is completely usable.
I think it's perfectly usable. I really like it in spite of it not really being "my style". I'm always happy to see it or hear it.
I think it's fine and usable. I know a few guys with that name.
Really handsome. Very Shakespearean. I think it's useable, I wouldn't see why not. It's no more ornate than Sebastian, which is hugely popular.
I knew a few boys named this, along with Demetria for a girl. It's commonish in the black community.
It's too long for me

I don't see why it's not usable. I find it more approachable than most male Latin *ius/us names, including somewhat common ones like Julius, Augustus, Maximus. I don't expect confusion about pronunciation or spelling where I live like I would for Marius, Cassius, Lucius, Aemilius, Aurelius (and Dmitri, etc). It's not as fusty as Cornelius or as serious as Octavius. It shortens to Demetri or D, if one wants (though I am called by a 4-syllable name, and I think the length is fine).
I get a green vibe from it.

It's a guilty pleasure to me. I love the sound, and 'Mother Earth' is one of my favorite meanings, but it may sound a bit too pretentious, at least in English. Demetria is more usable because there's Demi.
Demetrios in Greek and Dimitri in Russian work fine, but only in their respective cultures.
If I were to use the masculine form, I'd pick Demeter – it's a guy's name in Slovak and Hungarian, and does not have the frill of Demetrius.

it's cool. I wish Americans of all races used it. same with Darius.
I have a Greek woman friend named Demetria; that seems fine to me, but Demetrius ... Demetrios would look more Greek, but then the bearer would really have to be Greek! I suppose Demetrius could be used more widely, but not by me.
It’s so handsome! I don’t see why it couldn’t be usable.
It's not bad, and certainly not unuable. But in the US, it's very much a Black Name, and as such became dated very quickly.
Don't really like it, i prefer Dmitri or Dimitry
I like it! I also enjoy the female counterpart, Demetria. I think they’re underrated.
