Lisa - dated now, but still better than Liz
Donna - 'Once upon a looking-for-Donna time there was a sixteen-year-old virgin'; an excellent song but unfortunate if that's your name. Silly to call anyone Lady or Mrs.
Sandra - deeply tedious
Brenda - better than Sandra, but still not good
Sharon - hard to imagine in today's world: it's all beehive hairdo and Mary Quant eyeliner
Denise - prefer Denis for a boy; not bad though
Robin - all male especially in the 60s: they would have feminised it as Robyn
Rhonda - More 60s music - my lucky day! I love the Beach Boys, and - thank you, guys - I also love Rhonda
Janet - Oh, Brad! Seriously, a delightful form of Jane, much nicer than Janice; I'd welcome a come-back
Wendy - eternally youthful: pretty, though, rather like Shirley
Paula - much nicer than Pauline; OK, but I prefer Paul for a boy
Sheila - I like Sheila, the sound is lovely. Wish it had lasted
Suzanne - takes your hand ... OK, I'll stop now! The nicest form of Susan, and one I'd consider using

Lisa-sounds pretty, short and sweet
Donna- pretty
Sandra- why hasn't this name come back in style?
Brenda- I like it, not as horrible as everyone says.
Sharon- this one feels old lady to me.
Denise- pretty. Another name that could stand a comeback.
Robin- dislike. Sounds masculine to me.
Rhonda- I like it
Janet- like it
Wendy- dislike. Sounds too much like a nickname.
Paula- another name due for a comeback.
Sheila- I knew someone named Sheila that ruined the name for me. But I do like that it has the prefix 'she', it's feminine.
Suzanne- pretty and due for a comeback.
I like all of these names except Wendy and Robin.

Lisa- boring but it does sound pretty
Donna- it’s meh, I don’t think it should ‘come back’ any time soon
Sandra- its meh but the nn Sandy is so, so cute!
Brenda- honestly I would think it’s a little ugly on anyone under 40- and I usually like ‘ugly’ old names!
Sharon- no
Denise- not bad but a little tacky
Robin- it’s cute for a girl but a bit dated. For a boy it’s darling
Rhonda- same as Brenda
Janet- one of my favorites listed here, I think it would be lovely to meet a young Janet (as long as she isn’t called Jan)
Wendy- adorable. I really fell in love with it because of Wendy from Red Velvet, the Korean girl group
Paula- it’s fine, maybe edging into homely, but I would desperately want to call her Polly instead
Sheila- nms but it’s ok
Suzanne- I actually really like this one for a modern little girl! I’m not sold on Suzie yet but I love Sukie or Zuzu
Donna- it’s meh, I don’t think it should ‘come back’ any time soon
Sandra- its meh but the nn Sandy is so, so cute!

Lisa - too simple for me, but a pretty sound. I don't like that it has no real meaning.
Donna - warm, steady, familiar, boring, I know too many. There are at least 4 60-something Donnas on my street alone.
Sandra - had a very weird experience with a Sandra once that has coloured my perception of this name beyond repair. It's a good name for a psycho biddy. Someone who looks supremely normal but has a hidden shrine to her neighbour's teenage son, that kinda thing.
Brenda - the ultimate Karen name, more Karen than Karen. I hate it, enormously.
Sharon - sweet, nice, relaxed, a bit hippy-dippy. Good 1970s Age of Aquarius energy. I love "Shar"
Denise - sounds bitchy and exacting, but in a positive way. Denise feels very competent to me. This one is more "1980s girlboss". Very shoulder pads.
Robin - aw, very cute. Sweet as pie, quiet and nurturing. A very friendly name.
Rhonda - loud broad alert! I love her. I picture hair that is too red, or peroxide blonde, frizzy as all get-out. Someone with no self awareness but in a fun way. The lady who was never scared to order pizza on the phone or ask the waiter for more bread.
Janet - 1970s meets mediaeval ages. A very calm name, like faded pressed flowers. I like it, I'd love to meet a little baby Janet.
Wendy - I wish I could love this name, but I knew such an awful one. Wendy is sharp and cruel.
Paula - a shy violet sort of name. Sweet and likable.
Sheila - another loud broad name, but not as fun as Rhonda. There's something about Sheila that feels neurotic. This is the perfect ex wife name. Looks like it belongs on every true crime documentary.
Suzanne - oddly bland and beige for me. I think I could really like it if I met an interesting one. It has potential to be.... Something.

Lisa: I like this one a lot. It is dated now, but it doesn't sound or feel old to me.
Donna: This is my aunt's name. It's nice enough. It does feel dated.
Sandra: I don't mind this one, but I much prefer Sandy.
Brenda: Don't like. Heavy and hard, like someone dragging a heavy chair down the stairs.
Sharon: It's okay, but I prefer Sherry/Shari.
Denise: It's kind of a trim, neat, smooth name.
Robin: Bright, cheerful, sunny name.
Rhonda: Big beefy redneck woman kind of name.
Janet: Bland, a bit prim.
Wendy: Very similar in vibe to Robin.
Paula: Similar in vibe to Brenda. Even though I like Paul for a man.
Sheila: Has an unpleasant, slithery, synthetic sound.
Suzanne: Very pretty.

I think Lisa, Brenda, Denise, Robin, Rhonda, Sandra, Wendy, and Paula are all pretty names. Denise is especially beautiful, in my opinion. Janet and Sheila are very whiny to me. Sharon, Suzanne, and Donna are less whiny but simply don’t sound very pleasant to me, though there are certainly worse names out there.
I actually like some of these names. Sandra, Brenda, Denise, Rhonda, Sheila and Suzanne are the ones I don't mind.
