I was thinking recently about the names my husband vetoed. We decided on
Miriam pretty early on, but these are ones I liked.
Nora - About six months along I fell in love with this name. I tried very hard to talk my husband into using it, didn't work
LeahJuliaMagda - he preferred
Magdalene. This was a common issue - I like short, simple names and he liked frillier ones.
Gwen - again, he found it too short and guttural.
Jordan - it's still very common for boys in this area
Rosalind - with the roz pronunciation, not the rose one.
Eleanor Naomi
On the flip side he liked:
Geneiveve
CeciliaViolet
We ended up settled on
Judith,
Margaret,
Katarina, and
Miriam. He actually didn't like
Miriam until I was pregnant. It was the same with our list of boys names.
Julian,
Peter,
Raphael, and
Malcolm. He didn't like
Malcolm, but we ended up agreeing on it. Not sure how that worked.
