[Opinions] Coco & Esme
I met a couple today with very young children named Coco & Esme. What do you think of the individual names and the sibset?

Replies

I LOVE the name Esme, it’s one of my faves. Coco is cute, but for a nn. The names do sound very cute together though.
I don't like the name Coco at all; I've met too many dogs with the name, unfortunately. However, it does make a funky nickname for Corinne, Corinna, Connie, Cora, or any other name beginning in "Co"! Esme is a very pretty sounding name; I also love the spelling Esmae for it.
My mom thinks it’s probably a nickname for Colette. We’ll never know since the couple did not call her anything but Coco, though!
Coco was the name of my uncles pitbull when I was a child and she was an amazing dog, but I've only really met dogs named that. Esme is pretty though and they fit together.
I hate Coco as a given name. The set makes a lot of sense.
I misread this as Cosmo and Esme, which I think would be a fabulous sibset. Coco is super childish though, and brings to mind either a showgirl or Nazi collaborator Coco Chanel.
I love Esme and would gladly use it. Coco is fine for a pet animal or a hot chocolate drink. The sibset rates 50%.
I like both names. Coco is very nickname-y and cutesy, but reminds me of hot cocoa, which is warm and sweet. Also, the Pixar movie which I love. Esme sounds otherworldly, graceful, kind and patient - like the character from Twilight. Coco and Esme have nothing in common, but they sort of work together. Maybe its because they're both short, have two syllables and 4 letters? There is a cohesiveness going on...
Esme is pretty but I’m not a fan of Coco for a baby girl. It’s a cute name for a small female dog. My friend has a cockapoo named Coco.

Don't like either name, i don't really think they go together either
Not a fan of Coco or Esme. I guess they work, but they sound like a pair of frou-frou dogs.
Coco is a horrible choice for a kid.
I love Esme but Coco is unfortunate. Coco reminds me of many things: clowns, fashion, tennis and cereal (eg. Coco the Clown, Coco Chanel, Coco Gauff & Cocoa Puffs).
Obviously you love Esme, haha!
