I like it. Very chic. I like Thamar too. Tamara is lovely as well, but my accent turns it into something closer to "teh-MAIR-uh" which is less nice than the proper "tah-MAR-ah". And Tamar kind of gets around that problem. It's easier to say the MAR part properly.
