Doing a Linkedin search for the first name Ayana in Ethiopia, and looking through the first 10 pages of results, I only found one bearer that was identifiably female. The rest (50+) were male.

Okay... I see where you are going with this... Thanks for letting me know.Still I say your approach to finding out the gender of the name is...interesting.

Yes, it's best to look for real world bearers when sites such as forebears can seemingly be inaccurate.
