They are completely different names, so yeah, it would be a little strange.
I strongly believe a child shapes their name, and not the other way around. If you pick Charlotte for a daughter, she'll be a Charlotte to you. Maybe, if you think it seems more fitting, you could use a nickname like Charlie or Lotte (just an example). But calling her a completely different name? No, I wouldn't do that.
