If your middle name is often considered "filler" (e.g., Rose, Marie, etc.), you have a girl.
If you prefer your middle name to your first name, you have a boy.
If you don't have a middle name, you have a girl.
If none of the above are true, you have a boy.

Spelling changes are allowed as long as the pronunciation does not change. (Ex: Rachel could be changed to Rachael but not Rochelle.)
