I so can imagine an old Dennis, not a young one. I imagine the residents are old at a nursing home or something, I dunno.

I work at a long-term care (LTC) facility. Many of our residents are elderly, a few are not.

That's interesting. It is used here in Canada.

Here the term is considered insulting and infantilizing. People still use it, but within the LTC industry care center or long-term care facility is the correct term. I'm 90% my in-laws and parents tell people I work in a nursing home, though.
