What are your thoughts on Leontine? I can never decide if I prefer "LEE-un-teen" or "LAY-un-teen," but I love the name's sleek refinement. Some combos:Leontine Cecilia

In French, it's LAY-ohn-teen for sure. I don't like it much in French. I agree that Lee-un-teen is a bit softer.

My instinct would be LEE-on-tine. Looks too much like an adjective: I much prefer glorious Leontina.I like Leontine Amy, Leontine Aurora (and I'm Aurora's #1 disparaged!), and Leontine Allegra.

LEEonteen. Magnificently operatic! But for everyday use it would shorten, and the possibilities aren't pleasing: Lee, Leo, Leonie (probably the best), Tina. Safer as a mn.

This is such a great name. I'm partial to the spelling Leontyne, because of the great Leontyne Price, but any version of Leontine is probably good! I pronounce it "LAY-on-teen" but I also like the other way.Leontine Clara really jumped out at me, very stately.

It’s so pretty and grand! It would be awesome to meet a Leontine irl, it really should be used more often! Also nn Leonie is adorable. I love Leontine Augusta
