A lot of impact, or very little.
Two people can have the same very unusual name, and have very different experiences with it.
Two people can have the same wildly popular name, and have very different experiences with it.
I think society, fashion, culture, upbringing, and life experiences are the real issue - the name just serves as a focal point.
