I teach students that are equivalent age of end of high school, beginning of college and I always love getting my class list, to spot the names.
The college is in a very urban and diverse area, with students from various background. The common language is French, considering we live in a French speaking province, but I know a lot of my students have a different mother tongue spoken in their famillies (arabic, spanish, urdu, haitian creole, etc.) It makes for a very cool and unique name list. Here is my first two groups (there are a lot more feminine names than masculine ones in almost all my groups). Don't hesitate to share your thoughts.
