Asher - it's okay, better than average name
Bennett - I'm really finding myself liking this name more and more recently, it gets the familiar nn
Ben but is miles better than
BenjaminBrendan - it's just okay, pretty unremarkable
Cyrus - i don't like it, it sounds nerdy and not in a good way
Dameon - I don't like this spelling
Elijah - always disliked this name, I don't like the way it looks or the way it sounds
Elliott - I like it, I think I prefer it with one l but I keep going back and forth on the spelling
Isadore - I think it sounds pretentiously poetic somehow, maybe I just think it's too much, I prefer simple boy names
Jasper - it's fine, not a fave even in the J names for boys category but I like it okay
Joshua - I like
Josh but for some reason
Joshua has always put me off, it gives the name a kind of sloshing sound which I don't enjoy
Mason - I really like
Mason, it looks nice, it's simple, just a great name
Nico - I don't like it, it looks incomplete and sounds juvenile even on an adult
Rocky - this is a nickname only for me, or a name for a dog
Samuel - it's okay but barely, I don't mind
Sam but the ending drags
Samuel down
Sylas - I don't like it, the combination of sounds makes the name feel kind of slimy
Tristan - my only real connection is the vague recollection of going through
Tristan and
Isolde at school so the name seems kind of whiny to me
Tyler - fine but unremarkable
Wilbur - it really does make me think of the
Wright brothers but I guess it's fine, a fresher way to get the nn
WillWyatt - I didn't use to care for it but now I'm starting to like it, it has a wild west-y feel to it
Xavier - I really don't like it, I don't like that it starts with an X - and I don't like how this just gets pronounced like a Z in English and I dislike the alternative that adds a whole imaginary vowel at the front even more, and then the vier ending just doesn't flow it sounds wrong - adding an extra syllable kind of feels better but then it just sounds like
Xavia
