Every time I see this post, my first thought is Bobbitt

I thought I was the only one!

I like this name! It makes me think of Civil War era things, which also puts me in mind of Christmas (which is weird, I know). Lorena was a song that everyone loved around that time.

In the novel, Gone With the Wind, Scarlett names her second child, Ella Lorena. Ella after Scarlett's mother Ellen and Lorena because it was a popular name in Atlanta then.

I forgot that she put Ella in there first, I thought the baby was just Lorena! I should read that book again....

I think it's really pretty, and I've been going back and forth with adding and removing it from my PNL from years. Though pretty, it does also come across as a bit dated.

It's flaxen, warm, maternal. I like it well enough.

Maternal is a very spot on descriptor of Lorena

Aw, I like Lorena. It's warm and familiar but not dull.

I like it, but I prefer the spelling of Lorina, which I pronounce as "Lor-ree-nuh".

Don't like it, Prefer Laura or Lauren

I don't enjoy most -ina and -ena names, and I dislike Lauren. I do love Laura and would use it happily.

It's okay. I have no strong feelings. It's definitely not unpleasant.
