[Opinions] Maurice & Laurence
Wdyt of these names for twin brothers? My main question and concern is that the ending ‘ce’ makes them too similar. If you don’t like them together what name would you instead give a twin brother for each? If you do like them together what would you use as their middle names and also their nns (are Maurie & Laurie are too similar?).This is just for fun btw, I’m nowhere in the realm of having kids lol :)

I think they're too similar for twins. I'd name a twin to Laurence Percival and a twin to Maurice Clement. combos... Laurence Augustine and Maurice Emmanuel. Nicknamed (W)Ren and Mo.
I don't think the similar ending is really that noticeable; I didn't notice until you pointed it out.Laurie as a nn for Laurence would be pretty rare, it's fairly archaic nowadays. So you wouldn't really have to worry about "Laurie and Maurie" unless you purposefully introduced them that way. Something like Larry and Moe could be fun, but then that's getting into Three Stooges territory... Just make sure you don't have a third brother called Curly.
Maurice and Laurence suit each other. Very Edwardian! Laurence is such a handsome name, and it's nice to see Maurice getting some attention! I think Maurice is very cute. If the similar endings trouble you, Maurice & Laurent would be beautiful and a bit different.
Thank you for your comment! I’m glad you pointed out that they sound Edwardian, thats just what I like to hear! And I agree with you about Maurice getting attention, it’s sad to me that it dropped out of the charts :(Larry & Moe would be really cute together, but since you mentioned the Three Stooges that does make them a little awkward together haha
I definitely prefer Maurice to Laurence, but I think that could potentially work for brothers. Personally, I feel that the (similar-sounding) endings aren't ideal, because I like a bit of individuality (that is, unless I'm trying to make a naming pattern between them); despite this, they don't sound awful together.
I like Laurence especially with the nickname Laurie but not Maurice
I love Laurence and like Maurice, which I instinctively pronounce "mor-EECE." I do think they're too similar for twin brothers, however.Clement & Maurice
Anselm & Laurence
Too similar I'd prefer Lawrence and Stewart, Desmond, Malcolm, Vincent, Edmund, Milton, Rupert, Walter, Wallace
