So I was looking at Mona and I found the name Mona derives from.

Interesting, I always assumed Mona to be derived from Simona or Monica. I’m not crazy about Celtic spellings unless you live somewhere they’re commonplace because my mind always wants to read them phonetically, so I’d rather Mona.

I love many Irish names, but this one sounds like "moon it" (as in "mooning someone") which has a bad meaning.
Moonlit would be nicer, even if just as a middle name.

Oh that’s pretty! I prefer the spelling Muadhnait though I don’t think many outside of ireland would know how to pronounce it, unfortunately. It sounds like it would be the name of a beloved friend (=^ω^=)
