My Dads parents spoke Ukrainian and Both learned English once my Dad started school. If they didn't want us to hear something they switched to Ukrainian. I think there was Polish in my background but I'm not sure. This was all on my Dads side. Grandma's maiden name as Oberton. We used to go to the farm every summer. I never knew anyone to speak German. They farmed in the 30's during the decade my Dad was born. He had 2 younger sister's.We knew some of my Dad's Aunt's and Uncles and I met my great Grandparents who lived in a small resort town.
