LM Montgomery used it somewhere in the later Anne books, I think, for a fairly minor character. i didn't like it then and I don't like it now. I wouldn't expect to encounter it IRL, and I never have. Perhaps it could work as a mn: Agatha Persis flows better than Persis Agatha, for instance.
