Many entries for Polish names on here mark A sounds as a^n, indicating nasalization - for example,
Amadeusz is shown as a^n-ma-DEH-oosh. Both As in
Amadeusz are actually pronounced the same way - as un all other Polish words - IPA /a/, more similar to the A in father than to that in cat.
