[Opinions] Feya
Hi! So, I’m here to talk about this name that I’ve just discovered. I really like the name Faye for a girl. But, I thought a name pronounced as “FAY-ə“ would be really pretty. I didn’t want to spell it “Faya” because it could be pronounced as “FIE-ə“ (reminds me of the word “fire”). So, I switched the “a” and “e” around and made Feya. Curious if it were a real name, I searched it up on this site. Happily, it’s a user submitted name! This name has been used before! What are your thoughts about the name Feya? Personally, I think it’s very pretty and stylish. I really like how unique it is. Even though I’ve just discovered it, it’s becoming my favorite feminine name (at least for today). What do you think?Formerly, wheelbarrow4

I immediately mistook it for Freya, which I think is a better option. I don’t really see Faya being pronounced with a long I sound. For that pronunciation, maybe Faia.

Don't like it, looks like a misspelt Freya, which I prefer or Phaedra or Faith

I don't care for it, because - as Mar pointed out - fea, pronounced the same way, means "ugly" in Spanish, a language I am not fluent in but am connected to. My cousin is named Freya, which I much prefer, and I enjoy Fay, Faye, and Fae as well, but Feya looks like a typo.

I don't mind it, although at first glance my brains wants to interpret it as a typo of Freya.

It's like Freya without teeth. In a way I like it - it has beautiful softness - but it's almost too soft. I prefer Freya's edges and Fay's swiftness.

I like it.

I liked Feia until someone pointed out it means 'ugly' in Spanish. Female reminds me of that and that's why I can't love it.
