I’m not a fan of the sound, personally.

Where do you live? I hope it’s somewhere where this name is at least semi-normal sounding, and not an English speaking country.
I see people listing names that are related, and I have to say, why didn’t they pick Bozena, or literally any other variation? Clearly if they had heard of THIS name, they could’ve done more research and picked something that would’ve sounded somewhat better.
Bogumila sounds like a bog monster, enough said.

I see it charted in Poland. It’s fine if that’s the case. Idk Polish but I’m guessing “bog” isn’t a word there.
From what I can tell, the English equivalent would be naming your daughter Lavinia or something that hasn’t been used that often in awhile.

Just for precisions sake, Bogumiła, and not Bogumila charted in Poland. Bogumila does not actually appear to be a form in any language.Indeed, bog isn't a word in Polish - Bogumiła comes from "Bóg", which means God.I'd say that rather than being an equivalent to naming a daughter in an English country Lavinia, it would be the equivalent to naming her Sharon or Deborah. Something recognisable, but the polar opposite of fashion forward.

It has an interesting meaning and nice sound, but it doesn’t really roll off the tounge very well. Boh-GOO-meel-La is kinda of hard to say and just a lot of syllables compared to how other 4 syllable-names are actually quite easy to say. Anyway, it’s not bad, I actually kinda like it. I would prefer just Mila though.

It's sensuous. Wow, I love it. I imagine a medieval sylvan princess. I love Bogdana, too.

I more prefer Bohumila. I like her nickname Bohunka, Bohu. Bozhena is good name. It means blessed.
What do you think of English diminutives?

Well, Bogumila might look pretentious and sound ugly to modern ears, I guess. (Btw, in Polish it sounds milder and smoother, imo).
When I was younger, I was interested in names like Bozhena, Bożena, Bazhana, Bożana, etc; Bogumila seemed memorable to me, like a name of a princess from a fantasy novel, which is unusable irl, but it still gets your attention: not pretty, but noteworthy.

It’s ugly, but at least she can go by Mila.
