[Opinions] Purity (f) & Gift (m)
I came across these names in an athletics competition. Thoughts?

Purity is awful. It sort of says in advance: we will not let her grow up making her own choices.
Gift means 'poison' in German, for that reason alone I'd avoid it. Maybe as a mn if you must use it...

Purity is fine. Gift is just stupid. On a male it’s interesting I suppose, but I would just use a name that means gift for crying out loud.
They sound very African. Gift, in particular: I've seen several instances of it. Purity where I live is a brand of baby products, especially solid foods mashed to a pulp; the meaning is going to be hard to live up to.
Purity has a real Puritan vibe, Gift is very cheesy.
Nice name-ideas, but neither one would seem appropriate as a name in the culture I'm stuck with.
I hate both, though I kind of love Pura.
I spent a summer in Zambia about a decade and knew a little boy named Gift. Sweet kid. Not a usable name.
Purity... I'll spare anyone reading for my theological/sociological rant related to this word and the baggage associated with it, but needless to say I would never use it and would not blame the girl for changing her name when she could.
