Everild: Sounds like a Dungeon and Dragons type name. Not bad, but it's hard to imagine it on a real person.
Averill, both f&M: Pretty much the same as Everild, but with a hint of Avery added to it. A bit more realistic.
Avril: It's an okay name, it just reminds me of the singer Avril Lavigne, Advil medicine, and anvils.
Emerald, female: Nice, underused gemstone name, and it reminds me of Esmeralda.
Emerald, male: Same as female, but I actually prefer Emerald on a boy because I grew up mistaking Emeril Lagasse's name as Emerald, so it seems more normal to me. Also, it reminds me of other classic boy names such as Reginald, Gerald, Donald, Oswald, etc.

I can’t see Emerald on a male at all (and prefer Esmeralda on a female). I can’t see Averill working on anyone when Avril exists. As a side note, I don’t mind Avery on either (and actually prefer on males).

I only like Emerald, and only on a girl. I don't like it all that much, but it's got a glamorous vibe to it. Everild sounds like Emerald with a bad cold, ad the others just sound like medicine.

Averill (f)- 5 it's not the worst but I wouldn't use it myself
Averill (m)- 0 this is only a girl's name to me
Avril- 5 same as above just a different spelling; prefer this spelling
Emerald- (f) 5 again, not great but still not terrible
Emerald (m)- 0 strictly a girl name in my opinion.

It's more 'playful' than Everild, maybe because it lacks the strong -d ending.
Personally, I miss the boldness of that -d))

3. Emerald f — 8
I love emeralds and emerald green colour but... It's too blunt, I guess. There is always something more namey, and a little bit more appealing.

4. Avril f — 6
I don't like Avril Lavigne, or rather I don't like that Avril might be/is a one person name...

5. Emerald m — I like this name, just prefer it on a girl, (thanks to Esmeralda)
