Prince Adam becomes engaged to Queen Agostina of Italy after an alliance is made between Italy and East Anglia. Their marriage is postponed because the Queen is recently crowned and mourning for her deceased father; but Her Majesty invites her fiancé to bring any of his single family members to Italy to find Italian spouses. As a result, Adam's cousins Prince Felix and Princess Florence get engaged - to an Italian viscountess, Mariana, and an Italian count, Fabiano, respectively; and Adam's uncle Prince Claude gets engaged to a baroness, Marina. Florence and Fabiano are married immediately, but the other two engagements are postponed - Claude's because Marina is only 12, and Felix's because Mariana is mourning for her recently deceased brother. Crown Prince William also marries a viscountess, Carla, ensuring that East Anglia's next queen will be Italian, and they have a son, Prince Bartholomew. King Athelstan, too, gets another paramour, Viscountess Francesca of Italy, for the sake of it. Sadly, Prince Roland and Princess Lilias lose their son Edward to scarlet fever at 6 years old this year; they have now lost 3 of their 5 children in infancy. Soon after his death, Lilias gives birth to their sixth child, Prince Simon. Roland, guilty about going behind his wife's back, stops seeing his paramour. At the ripe ages of 65 and 66, Baroness Rohesia and Baron Constantius finally pass away of natural causes. Prince Nicol marries his fiancée, Rose. Prince Henry and Princess Mabel have two daughters, Alice and Elizabeth. King Athelstan and Queen Matilda have another son, Prince Griffin.
