1. If you had twins today (Whatever gender you want), what would you name them?
Ian and Lucy; Ian and Graham; Lucy and Alice
2. Would you ever give your first name as a child’s middle name?
Ever is a long time; given enough children, yes
3. If not, what about your middle name as your son/daughters middle name as well?
My mn is already my daughter's mn and was my grandmother's mn
4. You are forced to give your son a feminine name, and you daughter a masculine one. What are their names? (You can add a middle name)
Son Ashley; daughter Lesley
5. Do you prefer names with history to it or is it completely coincidental?
I prefer names that have been used for a longish time
6. Does a name not being ‘genuine’ enough bother you?
Sometimes
7. How do you feel about accents with names? Would you ever use a name with one? (Ex: Chloë, Renée, Anaïs.)
I would use Chloe, Renee and Michele without accents; I wouldn't use Anais with or without
8. What do you think of names with different spelling from the original?
Needlessly confusing
9. Do you like nicknames for your child or even yourself? Or do you prefer the full name?
I wouldn't use a nickname as a full name, but I don't mind most of them
10. Has the pandemic changed your taste in names?
No
11. You and your partner just chose the name for your child. You both love it and have no doubts in mind. Your entire family hates it. Do you still keep the name?
Absolutely. They'll get over it, or they won't; not my problem
12. What is one name that’s popular you actually think deserves it’s time in the light? It can be one for a boy and one for a girl.
William and Lucy: I used New Zealand data
13. What is one baby name tradition or trend that you don’t like? It can be anything.
Using grandparents' names unchanged, regardless of what they are.
14. What (type) name automatically makes you (Or would make you?) lose respect for a parent?
Random nouns, like Pineapple; distorted spellings; names with a political or religious slogan-type meaning
