Anatolios Brice Zegers is a 28 year old architect living in Greece. His wife Ana Sofía Henny Zegers is also 28. Ana is a journalist, who moved from Bolivia to Greece when she was 18. They married and started a family young and have just welcomed their sixth child, a boy named Lyrdin Bear, who looks just like daddy with blue eyes and wavy, black hair. He is welcomed home by 3 sisters and two brothers, evening out the family. Lyrdin’s siblings are 8 year old Tallulah Apple, 6 year old Sapphire Catherine, 4 year old twins Levi Blake and Ariel Hope, and 2 year old Atticus Sebastian.
Year 0: Anatolios (28), Ana Sofía (28), Tallulah (8), Sapphire (6), Levi (4), Ariel (4), Atticus (2) and Lyrdin (nb)
Ana Sofía’s brother Rafael passed away in a car accident. Lyrdin never met his uncle and doesn’t understand why mommy is so sad.
Year 1: Anatolios (29), Ana Sofía (29), Tallulah (9), Sapphire (7), Levi (5), Ariel (5), Atticus (3) and Lyrdin (1)
Anatolios loses his job and suddenly Ana Sofía is working a lot more. Lyrdin misses mom, but likes having dad around. Anatolios takes odd jobs when he can and helps out a lot more around the house and with the children.
Year 2: Anatolios (30), Ana Sofía (30), Tallulah (10), Sapphire (8), Levi (6), Ariel (6), Atticus (4), and Lyrdin (2)
Lyrdin is starting preschool and his speech is a bit delayed. Mom and dad aren’t too concerned but are starting him in speech therapy just in case.
Year 3: Anatolios (31), Ana Sofía (31), Tallulah (11), Sapphire (9), Levi (7), Ariel (7), Atticus (5) and Lyrdin (3)
Lyrdin’s speech is not improving much. It is determined that he is hard of hearing. The family is sad. Lyrdin gets some hearing aids and while they are overwhelming at first, Lyrdin starts to like being able to hear better. The family is also starting to learn sign language.
Year 4: Anatolios (32), Ana Sofía (32), Tallulah (12), Sapphire (10), Levi (8), Ariel (8), Atticus (6), Lyrdin (4)
The family welcomes a new baby, making Lyrdin a big brother. There is some jealousy at first, since Lyrdin is used to being the youngest, but eventually loves his new baby brother Zeus River.
Year 5: Anatolios (33), Ana Sofía (33), Tallulah (13), Sapphire (11), Levi (9), Ariel (9), Atticus (7), Lyrdin (5), and Zeus (nb)
In a devastating turn of events, Anatolios is killed working on a construction site. The family is devastated. Ana Sofía’s parents come to Greece to help with the children. Anatolios’ family helps when they can.
Year 6: Anatolios (dec.), Ana Sofía (34), Tallulah (14), Sapphire (12), Levi (10), Ariel (10), Atticus (8), Lyrdin (6), and Zeus (1)
Lyrdin learns to swim.
Year 7: Anatolios (dec.), Ana Sofía (35), Tallulah (15), Sapphire (13), Levi (11), Ariel (11), Atticus (9), Lyrdin (7), and Zeus (2).
The family starts fostering a friend’s 6 year old son, Cainin Reese, with plans to adopt. Lyrdin likes having a little brother that is closer to his age.

Lyrdin starts playing basketball. He loves being on the team and is getting pretty good.

This school year a new student named David joined Lyrdin’s class. David is Deaf and uses sign language. Lyrdin doesn’t rely on sign language too much and rarely uses it at school, but because he does know it and many kids didn’t know anything about it, Lyrdin and David became fast friends. They often talk with each other in class without getting in trouble. David’s parents are very grateful that he met Lyrdin.
