I like Robert and Robin. I might slightly prefer Robin. It is less macho in an appealing way. But Robert is a beautiful friendly name - major family name for me.
I'm not a huge fan of Roberta. It gives away the secret that Robert is actually a "bert" name which is TBH kind of embarrassing.
Middle names...
Robert Drake - sounds very explorer-y
