What's the English way? I LOVE it said MAD-eh-line, but don't like MAD-eh-lynn so much.

I like it but I prefer it pronounced as Madelyn or Madeleine, sounds softer to me.

Before I was married, Madeleine / Madelyn was one of my favourites, but with our last name it just wouldn't work. Madeline is stretching it a bit too.

I'm not sure we would use a nn that much, but DH does enjoy Maddie so we would stick with that. We're thinking of it as a nice alternative to Maggie which we love, but this name would give us more options since we don't like Margaret and I would prefer a more formal name.

I like Madeline and if my brother and his wife ever have kids they love the name Madeline Marie. I like the name Madeline Olivia and Madeline Emery.

Madeline Olivia is lovely, I like Olivia for a fn too. I'm leaning towards Madeline Renee or Irene.

Thanks, I think its a nice bonus that its not as common as Madison or Madelyn but has a fairly common & easy nn like Maddie.
