[Opinions] Alanna
Thoughts/feelings on Alanna? **After supposedly dying on January 30, 2007 after eating tainted pancakes, she returned several times as an angel and was revealed to be alive on May 17, 2011. )**

This is my actual name. I’ve grown to love my name. It’s unique but not too weird. People do have issues with spelling and pronouncing it. I usually have to tell people “Alana, rhymes with llama or iguana.” I recognize I’m biased. :) I strongly dislike the pronunciation that rhymes with “Atlanta” though.

I pronounce it al-AH-nuh (that's the only way I've heard it) - not like the 2nd A in Alannis, that'd be weirdly strident or like someone mumbling Atlanta. Alannis and Alaina are okay.Alanna's lowkey pretty, the way I've heard it.

I really like it! I know "someone" named Alanna.

I don't like the general pronunciation: uh-lan-uh. I'd actually like it if it was pronounced uh-lah-nuh. Alanna is my favorite spelling. I feel like Alannah is too long and Alana is a bit too short.

The only one I've known was Alannah with an -h on the end. Quite a nice name; quite a nice person; both unmemorable. But without the -h I really think it looks unfinished and even invented. And Alana causes pronunciation issues for itself.Alan is one of my favourite boy names: my only problem with it is that I've used Alastair as a mn, twice honouring, and Alan as well would be too much of a good thing.

I like it. I prefer Alana because it's simpler and looks nicer, but if I used the name it would be after the Tamora Pierce character called Alanna with two n's.

It's ok

I'm a fan. It reminds me of a series I grew up reading by Tamora Pierce, about the first lady knight in a fantasy world. It's pretty but strong.
