Help[Facts] What do the names Felizardo and Felizarda mean?
I saw this wiktionary article that says that there is a Portuguese word, felizardo, and that it's a combination of feliz "happy" and -ardo, and it's a noun for a lucky person, so I think it's likely Felizardo and Felizarda come from that word - https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/felizardo
But, that doesn't explain why it's also used in the Philippines and other former Spanish colonies.
