My name-sin thread reminded me how much I like the name
Skye.
And no, I wouldn't spell it Skyy or Skyee anymore ;) (loved these spelling as a teen).
In my later teens I loved
Sky because it looks like the word. But I think now I prefer
Skye, the place name.
Do you like it
Skye or
Sky?
Do the spellings give you different images? For me
Sky has more of a hippie vibe but
Skye feels more refined and conventional, kind of like
Brooke or
Paige.
Does it feel dated to you? I know it was never that popular but weirdly enough it gives me a bit of a late 90s/00s vibe.
I know that
Skylar etc. are popular (but falling and not super overused), do you think lots of them get called
Sky for short? Or not because it is only a two syllable name?
Skylar etc give me a totally different vibe but even though they were popular more recently I get a super strong early 00s feel from them (2000s that is).
Sky and variants or
Skylar,
Skyler,
Schuyler?
