I'd always found it rather flimsy, but then I taught two wonderful sisters named Shirley and Wendy - it was like going back in time, but they carried their names off with great aplomb and gave me the chance to enjoy them. I don't think I'd use it, or Shirley for that matter, but it's OK.

It’s quite nice. Kind of underrated as a name. The Wendy Williams association is a bit meh though.

In the US there is a fast food chain called Wendy's so that's pretty much out as an idea here. I do like the association with Peter Pan though.

I adore it, Peter Pan is one of my all-time favorite children’s movies so I’ve always had a soft spot for names from there.

Also, I was watching a television show that had a one-time minor character named Wendy, she was a teenager, long, brunette wavy hair, pretty eyes and a nose piercing. It really made Wendy feel modern and cute to me.

It’s been on my PNL for quite a time now.

I think it's very cute. It is technically dated, but still feels very youthful.
