[Opinions] Electra & Elettra
Hello! I posted a poll about Electra & Elettra (Link: https://www.behindthename.com/polls/344902) and received a pretty overwhelming negative response to both. So I’m asking, what do you think of Electra & Elettra? If you dislike them, why?
Please rate my lists. All of them are ratable except for the Main list and the Surname list. :)

I doubt most people are aware of the Electra complex; I think the unpopularity of this name is due to the fact that they both sound like elaborations of words: electric, elect, letter. Also Electra became a comic book character so the name has a (slightly silly, sexualized) pop culture association that is maybe not doing it any favours.
I don't mind them, I think Electra is badass and I would use it BUT I would be fully aware of what I'm dealing with there. Elettra is a bit weird to me, it's exotic but a tad off-putting as well. I like it ok, seeing it is fine, but I would never use it.

I think a lot of people don't like it because Electra is famous for killing her mother, which is why the Electra complex is called that.
Also, it sounds so much like 'electric' and maybe a bit silly because I think there's a comic book character named it.
My brother-in-law has an aunt named Electra / Elektra. My sister mentioned potentially using it for a future kid once, with MN June.
I posted about it on BtN and people responded to it positively.
I think they've got heavy associations (enough I would hesitate to use them), but it's not that big of a deal IRL. They're both pretty and interesting.

I actually like both of them, Elettra is one I haven't seen before.
One of my students years ago was named Electra and she wasn't teased about it as far as I know. The only negative thing that comes to my mind is that the Greek tragedies featuring Electra are pretty dark (but, ancient history).
