Clarissa is a little too princessy and frilly in a slightly bitchy way.

I dislike both (too frilly) but would choose Carissa because Cari and Cara are nicer to me than Clari or Clara.

I guess I prefer Clarissa. That was almost my name! If my mom hadn't met a baby named Clarissa before she had me, I would have been a Clarissa.

Clarissa was a favorite when I was a teenager, and I still appreciate the name (though now I'm more likely to opt for the less fussy Claire or Clara).

Clarissa, mostly due to my dislike of Carissa from a childhood classmate who had it. Clarisaa is classy though my favorite of the -issa names is Marissa.
