Forebears lists it as predominantly Romanian. A precursory etymology search through wiktionary suggests the greek roots it might come from as having to do with either botany (mostly plant stems ?), ankles, or the sun.
It's apparently also the name of a greek mythological figure, but my first thought upon seeing it was that its the name of an Elder Scrolls god, so if that's not intentional its something to watch for.
