It’s very very “non flashy”. Down to earth, dependable. Modest. Mature. More country than city. Our former prime minister is called Lars. It’s a very common “average Joe” kind of name that could belong to all kinds of men, although it’s not used for kids at all anymore.

I like it. I wouldn’t be surprised to see it as a gender neutral name either.
