I've seen it as a gal's name. I think on a woman it seems weirdly neutered and plain, if not actually mannish, and dated to the 70's. Kinda like Robin. I like it for a guy though. I like the Adrienne spelling (pron. the same) better on a gal. And Adria is even better.
