It's silly. Especially so when you consider that Tuesday Weld's real name is Susan, and Tuesday is a Hollywood-modified version of her own baby way of saying Susan.
It's just one of those random-seeming "Well, she was conceived/born on a Tuesday so we thought …"
Before you criticize a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, when you criticize him, you're a mile away and you have his shoes!
